 Java Magic is established by Silvan Prayogo, an Indonesian magician from Semarang city in Central Java province, Indonesia. Silvan Prayogo has performed magic shows since he was five years old (1985). He has performed magic shows in Indonesia, USA, Australia, China, Malaysia, Thailand, and Philippines.

 He learnt magic from his father, dr. Harry Susanto Prayogo. Silvan Prayogo also learnt magic from Mr. Dale Salwak (Chavez School of Magic, California, USA) and many other great magicians along the way. He acquired a juggling skill from Mr. Zhou Liang Tie and Liu Ming Ya from Shang Hai World Circus in Shang Hai, China.

Silvan Prayogo was elected as the Captain of Semarang Magic Community (SMC) on July 2011. He resigned from Semarang Magic Community on July 2012. Semarang Magic Community achievements during his one - year leadership were as follow:

  • The first Indonesian magic organization to have an official and well - managed website (www.semarangmagic.com) as well as internet social medias.
  • The first Indonesian magic organization to attend AMA - FISM general board meeting to apply for an AMA membership.
  • The first Indonesian magic organization to host a magic convention in Indonesia with an overseas magic organization. Hence, Garuda Merlion Magic Convention with IBM 115 Singapore (The Great Wong Ring).
    •
  • The first Indonesian magic organization to host the most economical magic convention with an overseas magic organization in Indonesia. Two - days magic convention (with dinner) at a cost of Rp. 100 000 ($USD 11) for SMC members and Rp. 150 000 ($USD 16) for non - SMC members.

The above achievements were supported by several dedicated members and non - members of Semarang Magic Community. Especially the generosity and dedication of IBM 115 Singapore who made the Garuda Merlion Magic Convention possible.
